Visit to Santiago

Strolling in the old part of town, tasting some local wines
and tapas, or visiting the cathedral are some of the activitites to do in Santiago. Other activities include the "Museo de Arte Contemporanea" (modern art museum), the "Museo do Pobo Galego" (Galician folk museum), numerous art galleries, concerts of the Galician "Filharmonica", or going for a movie or a play at the old "Teatro Principal".

Hiking

There are many beautiful paths along the river Ulla
(natural border between the provinces of A Coruna and Pontevedra), as well as multiple lonely roads that interconnect the small villages.

Day on the beach

The location of the house allows you to choose between beaches in the "Ria de Arousa", 30-45 min away by car (Rianxo, Boiro, A Illa, A Toxa, etc), or beaches in the "Ria de Muros y Noia", 45-60 min by car (Testal, Boa, Castro de Baroña, Corrubedo, San Francisco, etc).
The nearby fluvial beaches along the river Ulla are yet another choice (Vila de Cruces, A Estrada, etc).

Bird watching

The double-glassed windows of the house allow us to spy the birds landing right in front of the house without them noticing us. When we are lucky to spot the hoopoe, be it with the naked eye or with binoculars, its amazing movements and plumage become hypnotizing. You can hear the owls nightly, and sometimes, see their white bodies darting in the dark.
